A Simple and Heartfelt 34th Birthday Celebration: Family, Food, and Gratitude

Hey Blurtians, hope you're all having a wonderful week. I'm still basking in the glow of my birthday celebration! On January 21, 2026, I turned 34, and it was a truly special day filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of family. We kept the celebration simple and intimate, exactly how I wanted it. All my family gathered at the house for a birthday dinner, and it was the best gift I could have asked for. Having everyone together, sharing stories and creating memories, is what truly makes me happy. I decided to prepare the dinner myself, wanting to put my personal touch on the celebration. I cooked some of my favorite dishes, including a turkey lechon, a twist on the traditional Filipino pork dish. Making sure there was something for everyone to enjoy.

As we sat around the table, sharing stories and laughter, I felt incredibly grateful for the love and support of my family. They are my rock, my inspiration, and my biggest cheerleaders. I was also touched by the thoughtfulness of my son's girlfriend, who surprised me with a beautiful birthday cake. It was such a sweet gesture, and it made me feel so loved and appreciated. We lit the candles, sang "Happy Birthday," and I made a wish for health, happiness, and prosperity for all my loved ones.

To add a touch of Filipino flair to the celebration, I also prepared some "kakanins" traditional Filipino rice cakes. Each one a sweet and delicious treat. They were a perfect way to end the meal and to honor my heritage. The taste of the sea shells made me remember the things I have already encountered and what I already gained. I am so blessed to have another year and meet my family and friends again.
