Today I am going to put aside the recipes to bring you some images of my last journey a couple of years ago to the Route of the Seven Lakes, a Patagonian wonder and share them in this Community. This route connects the cities of San Martín de los Andes and Villa La Angostura in the Neuquén province, a true gateway to Argentine Patagonia.

And, during that tour, we can see Seven Lakes, one more beautiful than the other.

There are so many places to visit and photos to share that I have decided to divide the post into three parts.

Let's go to the first part!

Hoy voy a dejar de lado las recetas para traerles algunas imágenes de mi último recorrido hace ya un par de años a la Ruta de los Siete Lagos, maravilla patagónica y compartirlas en esta Comunidad.

Esta ruta une las ciudades de San Martín de los Andes y Villa La Angostura en la provincia de Neuquén, verdadera puerta de entrada a la Patagonia Argentina.

Y, durante ese recorrido, podemos avistar Siete Lagos uno más hermoso que otro.

Son tantos los lugares para visitar y las fotos para compartir que he decidido dividir el post en tres partes.

Vamos con la primera parte!

The first surprise is found with the fact that you don't have to travel long distances to find the lakes. There are very beautiful places at every turn. The Arroyo Partido is the first we encountered.

Beautiful independent waterways that all converge in a single lake in the middle of an absolutely natural and protected environment.

La primera sorpresa la econtramos con el hecho de que no hay que recorrer grandes distancias para encontrar los lagos. Hay lugares muy hermosos a cada paso. El Arroto Partido es el primero que encontramos.

Hermosos cursos de agua independientes que confluyen todos en un único lago en medio de un ambiente absolutamente natural y protegido.

We began to retrace the route and we had not finished telling the beauty of the previous stream when we found another, even more beautiful.

The name describes it perfectly: Arroyo Hermoso.

This stream is not only of dazzling natural beauty but it is the first tributary of the first lake on the Route of the Seven Lakes: Lake Machónico.

Comenzamos a desandar la ruta y no habíamos terminado de comentar la belleza del arroyo anterior cuando encontramos otro, más bonito todavía.

El nombre lo describe a la perfección: Arroyo Hermoso.

Este arroyo no solo es de una belleza natural deslumbrante sino que además es el afluente principal del primer lago en la Ruta del los Siete Lagos: el Lago Machónico.

It has no beaches and therefore its access is very difficult on foot. Impossible in vehicles.

There is a viewpoint from the route to admire the imposing landscape.

No tiene playas y por lo tanto su acceso es muy difícil caminando. Imposible en vehículos.

Hay un mirador desde la ruta para admirar lo imponente del paisaje.

Barely 5 kms later we descended from the paved road and after venturing down a narrow dirt road surrounded by dense and deep vegetation where the sun barely entered, we reached the second lake, the beauty of which speaks the name: Hermoso Lake.

The tranquility of the lake, its surroundings and its crystal clear waters make it an ideal place to rest.

Apenas 5 kms más adelante bajamos de la ruta asfaltada y luego de aventurarnos por un estrecho camino de tierra rodeado por una vegetación densa y profunda donde apenas entraba el sol llegamos al segundo lago, de cuya belleza habla el nombre: Lago Hermoso.

La tranquilidad del lago, su entorno y sus aguas cristalinas lo hacen un lugar ideal para el descanso.

We continue along the Route of the Seven Lakes and enter the Nahuel Huapi National Park. Looking for the next lake, we found a surprise: the beautiful Cascadas de Vuliñanco.

Impossible not to make a stop to stop, observe and photograph them with their more than 20 meters of waterfall and a wonderful environment.

Seguimos recorriendo la Ruta de los Siete Lagos y entramos en el Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi. Buscando el siguiente lago con encontramos con una sorpresa: las hermosas Cascadas de Vuliñanco.

Imposible no hacer una parada para detenernos, observarlas y fotografiarlas con sus más de 20 metros de caída de agua y un entorno maravilloso.
