Over the weekend, I went to Akpan Andem Market to buy some food stuff. This is the market that I normally go to and is closer to my residence. Today, I decided to go through a different route as the market is big and it has different areas someone can buy.

The area is called Johnson street. Here, it seems as if prices of things are different from the area I normally go in the morning time and the quantity of things are also different. I know we all have seasons where goods are available and when it is not. Fresh pepper portions for 500 naira seems so small.

Even the palm fruit too. We're in the rainy season and as such, palm fruit will not be cheaper compared to the dry season. Since my aim was to prepare banga soup, I added money to buy the palm fruit to be enough for me. Though the palm fruit was a bit expensive yet red oil which is produced through palm fruit is now cheaper.

It is a nice experience to navigate through another area in this market. Alongside the palm fruit and fresh pepper, I bought other things such as rice, Quaker oats, sweet potato, tin tomato, garden egg, fish, groundnut oil and many more.

After buying everything in the list, I headed my way from the market to a place where I can easily see transit and so, I trek a distance before boarding a keke back home.
