The rivers, canals, and beels are filled with water, and the vitality of life is seen in that water. At this time, a different excitement is seen among the people of the village because the water of the monsoon brings a stream of joy and with it the fishing festival begins. The sky was cloudy since the morning when I took the pictures. The sunlight was coming out from time to time through the gaps in the clouds spread all around, and the reflection of that light was shimmering in the water of the river. The scene was so beautiful that it felt like I was standing inside a picture painted by nature itself.

Fishing is intertwined with the life of the village in such a way that it is not only a source of food but also a kind of joyful event. Immediately after the rain, the water of the river rises, water accumulates on the banks of the canals, and then the people of the village come down to catch fish. Some have nets in their hands, some have spears in their hands, and some have small traps. As I was filming those scenes, I saw old men and young boys casting their nets together, laughing and shouting whenever a fish was caught. The sound of that laughter and the splash of water created a strange joy.

The beauty of fishing in the monsoon is not just for the fish, it also has to do with the play of colors of nature. Standing by the river, you can see the green color of the rice fields in the distance reflected in the water.
