Getting Started on Blurt: A Guide for New Users

Before I begin this post which can act as a useful guide to new blurtians, I'd like to kindly point your attention to my blurt Witness. It's been ranked below a half dozen other witnesses that haven't produced any blocks. Witnesses are the backbone that keep the Blurt platform running. Getting Started on Blurt: A Guide for New Users

- Use your starting Blurt to create good content. This is the easiest way to start earning more Blurt. You can also leverage services to get "curators" upvoters to upvote your posts. I list other great services for earning Blurt/Blurt Power in my introduction post here.

- Manage your starting Blurt carefully. When you first start, you’ll have little Blurt. Don’t power up all your starting Blurt to Blurt Power BP until you earn more—at least 20-50 Blurt. This ensures you have enough liquid Blurt to cover creating posts and occasional upvotes. For new accounts, depending where created, such as Discord, you are given 10-20 BLURT to get started creating content.

- Keep some liquid Blurt handy. Holding 10-20 Blurt is usually more than okebty to cover transaction fees for posting and upvoting. Anything beyond that can be converted to Blurt Power by "powering up."

- Manage your starting Blurt carefully. When you first start, you’ll have only a small amount of Blurt. Don’t power up all of it into Blurt Power BP until you’ve earned more—at least 20-50 Blurt. This way, you’ll have enough liquid Blurt to create posts and do occasional upvotes. New accounts, depending on where they’re created—like via Discord—are usually given 10-20 BLURT to get started with creating content.

- The more Blurt Power you have, the more your upvotes are worth. Your upvotes give authors more Blurt rewards, and you earn a share of the curation rewards too.

- Use a curation trail to maximize your upvotes. Follow a curator like @tomoyan. Set your voting weight to 100% while you have low BP, or cap it at 80% to avoid depleting your liquid Blurt too quickly. - Delegation opens new earning opportunities. Once you have hundreds or thousands of BP, you can delegate it to a service or user. This pooled BP allows them to curate content and distribute rewards proportionately to all delegators. I’ve mentioned the top delegation services in my intro post.

- Consider starting capital for faster growth. Even $5-20 to buy Blurt can accelerate your earnings, giving you more BP to use in curation trails or delegations. The more BP you have, the faster you earn.
