Dips are a creative way to add moisture to our food. Dips are usually mild in consistency and full of flavor.

Cut the avocado in half, remove the seed, and scoop the flesh from the skin. Place the flesh in a bowl and mash with a fork until you have a puree that you can dress with the lemon juice.
<strong Step 3</strong
Add the chopped onion, tomatoes and cilantro to the mashed avocado. Season to taste with oil, salt, and if you like a spicy flavor, Tabasco sauce optional .
Once this avocado dip is ready, you can refrigerate it for a few hours. It will be refreshing when you eat it.
You can add this avocado dip to some foods to add moisture. I love it with grilled chicken breast.
A funny thing I learned from some Mexican friends is that the acid in the lemon intensifies the heat. This is a good tip for those who love that intense hot sensation in their mouth.
I prefer to eat this dip without the heat, I still can't get used to the strong hot sensation in my mouth.
I have to admit that this avocado dip is one of my favorites. It's a healthy way to eat vegetables and avoid mayonnaise, which is what most dips are based on.
