In fact, I feel very happy if I can share my travels through the blog. So I try to share at least one travel post with you every week. I really like sharing travel posts. I hope you all will like today's post a lot. Below is my travel post shared with you. Do let me know how it went.
Childhood always feels like a colorful time—when the heart was as open as the sky, and thoughts fluttered freely like birds. Two inseparable companions of my childhood were singing and writing in a diary. These weren’t just hobbies to pass the time, but comforting sanctuaries for my soul—personal spaces where I could express myself with color and melody. Inside the small government quarter we lived in, my creative journey quietly began. Even amid all the games and playfulness, I had a hidden world of my own where I sang songs and poured my feelings into words.
Every afternoon, I would sit in a corner of our yard or room and sing—sometimes alone, sometimes with friends. That was the most cherished part of my day. If there was a school event, I would prepare eagerly. Selecting songs, rehearsing repeatedly, harmonizing with friends—it was all an unforgettable experience. I had a passion for folk songs, modern tunes, even patriotic anthems. For me, singing wasn’t just entertainment—it was my way of expressing who I was. On bad days, it was music that comforted me like medicine for a heavy heart.
My love for music was nurtured deeply by my parents' encouragement. They never mocked my voice. Instead, they constantly cheered me on. My mother would often say, “There’s a special emotion in your voice.” My father would take time out of his day to attend school programs just to hear me sing. They wanted me to hold on to this habit, and because of their love, I participated in many school competitions—and won prizes too. Those awards felt like recognition, giving me more confidence in myself.
While singing was something I shared with others, diary writing was just the opposite—intensely private, deeply personal. Every night, I would open my favorite diary and write down what happened during the day, who I spoke to, what made me sad or filled me with joy. Sometimes a few lines were enough to say it all; other nights, I’d flood entire pages with emotion. That diary was a silent friend—never judging, always listening.
If I had a fight with someone at school, I wouldn’t cry or shout. Instead, I’d write everything down in my diary at night. And by the end of writing, I’d feel peaceful again. That peace—I can still feel it today. Time has passed, I’ve grown up, but when I read those old diary pages, I feel like I’m climbing down the staircase of time, back into my little childhood room.
The pages of my diaries weren’t just filled with real-life stories. They also held poems from my imagination, short stories, even songs I wrote myself. Often, I’d compose a tune for the lyrics I had written. It was a joy only I knew. No one knew what I was writing or how I was singing—but I knew how peaceful and fulfilled I felt.
Songs and diaries—these two hobbies were my earliest teachers. From them, I learned how to express emotions, how to shape feelings into words. So when essay topics were given in class, I could write with ease. My teachers would say, “There’s so much emotion in your writing.” They didn’t know that those emotions were born from my habit of writing in a diary every night.
These habits have had a lasting impact on my life. Not just in childhood, even as an adult I remained engaged in writing. I may not sing every day anymore, but my love for music hasn’t faded. Sometimes, sitting silently, I feel like singing—and instantly, I feel lighter inside. And diary writing? That’s gone digital now, but the habit is still alive.
Back then, my friends would ask, “How do you stay so calm all the time?” I’d smile and say, “I tell everything to my diary and let my songs listen.” These two trustworthy companions gave me strength, courage, and comfort throughout my journey.
Today, when I peek through the window of memories, I see that little version of me—pen in hand, humming a tune, writing down feelings. Sometimes she’s singing her favorite song, sometimes scribbling deep emotions. That child still lives inside me. I may have grown older, but my emotions and love for those habits haven’t aged a day.
This story isn’t just mine. It’s the story of many who found shelter in creative habits during childhood. Some loved to draw, some wrote poetry, others sang songs. These weren’t just ways to kill time—they were safe havens for emotional development.
In today’s tech-driven world, where children are getting lost in mobile screens and tablets, this story may remind people how a simple notebook and pen—or a melodic voice—can shape a child’s mind and future. Songs and diaries are not just hobbies; they can become the very foundation of a life.
These practices taught me how to speak to myself, understand my own feelings, and respect the emotions of others. That emotional intelligence has helped me in every phase of life—in friendships, family bonds, and even in professional settings.
I’m proud of these priceless childhood experiences. I’m grateful to those days and to my parents, who never stopped me—instead, they gave me a notebook and a song to find myself.
Even today, I sometimes sing, or write in my diary. Maybe the voice no longer carries the same sparkle, and the writing lacks the storm of youthful emotion—but in those moments, I feel like I’ve become that little me again. The biggest blessings of my life—my childhood songs and diary writings—still live quietly in the most treasured corner of my heart.

Not today. I will be back with a new post in the future. Until then, stay tuned.
