Hazy Caturday - My Actifit Report Card: July 16 2026

Hey Actifitters,

Yesterday was still very hazy and smokey. On top of the heat, that doesn't make going outside very appealing. But we tried a few breaks in the backyard anyways. Not very visible on my photos unfortunately, but it was like being constantly in a dense fog.

Silly Le Chat didn't want to stay inside. I tried explaining to her the air quality was so bad it was a health hazard, but she didn't care and just spent most of the day on the dog bed outside on the deck.

As usual, not a single effort is wasted, if she moves, there's better be a really good reason!

One of these reasons could be a little exploration with Kaia in the yard, maybe even a little playing.

When we started our daily walk later, we started in the streets, can you see how foggy it looked in the distance. And again, this was much worse than it looks on the photos.

We tried the forest, hoping the trees would shield us a bit from the haze.

But not really. Actually, with the evening darkness, it was kinda creepy. Almost like in winter when it's dark and foggy in the forest.

Well, Kaia doesn't care, she just enjoys the forest of course!

And we finished with one last short loop in the hazy neighborhood. Even quieter than usual with very few people, if any, outside. Don't blame them, hot and hazy, it might look kinda cool, but it's not really fun.

And that was it. Really hope these wildfires stop soon and also that people closer to where it's really happening are safe. We get the pollution but they get it much worse obviously.
