A Declaration Is More Than A Post. It Is A Public Commitment.

Today I published my Founder Charter & Oath as my first Civic Declaration for CIV0 — Civilization Zero .

It isn't simply a blog post with comments.

It's a public declaration of who I am, what I stand for, why I participate, and the principles I commit to uphold as a participant in this civilization.

To preserve it as a permanent civic record, the declaration is encapsulated in a single BLURT post, with each section appended as comments to create an organized, readable document that remains together on-chain.

Behind the scenes, an Active Key signed custom JSON payload anchors the declaration by recording cryptographic hashes of the published documents. This creates a tamper-evident civic anchor while allowing the declaration itself to remain readable and accessible to everyone.

This is the beginning of CivLayer — an open framework for digital civilizations, beginning with CIV0.

Built upon it is CivPort , the official civic registration portal, providing a guided experience for creating, signing, publishing, amending, and revoking Civic Declarations without manually assembling blockchain transactions.

🌐

Underlying both is the civic/x.x protocol currently civic/0.3 , an open blockchain standard for anchoring civic documents, declarations, and constitutional records through cryptographically signed custom JSON operations.

My hope is that throughout Independence Month , many of you will join me by publishing your own Civic Declaration.

Whether you're an individual, an organization, an operator, an alternate account, or one day a cybernetic citizen, every participant has the opportunity to publicly answer four simple questions:

• Who are you? • What do you stand for? • Why do you participate? • What principles guide your actions? --- Watch the screenshare of the registration flow of my declaration

The Civic Anchor Active Key payload:

Civilizations are not built by constitutions alone.

They are built by participants willing to make public commitments to one another.

I hope you'll declare alongside me.

The blockchain was the foundation.

The pioneers built the path.

Its participants are the story.
