Blurt runs its own independent DPoS blockchain inspired by the Steem lineage but with its own rules, no downvotes in the same way, focused on free speech and rewards . Yet trading happens mostly via Hive-Engine , a smart contract layer/sidechain on Hive. You often deal with SWAP.BLURT wrappers that you bridge to native BLURT.
