Pizza party!
Heyyy! So this is my very last, final baking class. Today I'm making 🍕PIZZA!🍕
So I want to keep this brief because I'm tired as hell, and I have to rewrite this post because I lost the other one.
There was a pile of flour on the table, and Pablo the teacher gave us some cups and added sugar. We mixed until it dissolved, and then yeast. We poured in a bit of the mixture and mixed, then a bit more, then more until we ran out. Eventually, we got to knead dough. The other kids were complaining because it was quite a workout, but not me. I'm totally awesome, strong, amazing, wonderful, and just overall...I can knead dough. 😅
We cut the dough into two different-sized pieces, one smaller one and one bigger one. We worked on the small pizza and added our toppings, and while the small one was cooking, we worked on the big pizza. When the big pizza was ready, the small pizza was already done cooking, so we got to eat our small pizza while the big one cooked.
I tried to make my pizza nice and pretty by making it a heart shape.
But it turned out nothing like what I was hoping for; it was messy, sloppy, and the crust was way too big.
Hey, at least I have a good story to save my dignity.
There was this kid, I'll call him.... Porky. He had a bit of chubbiness. If that's a word.
He saw me making my bigger pizza and leaned over the table to look at it. Like, dude. If you want to kiss me, just say so. He shook his head and said "The pizza is way too thin; it'll burn on the bottom." I just ignored him. Why should I care about what he says? The pizza wasn't even done yet.
When my pizza came out of the oven, it looked like a total abomination, and the crust was looking like a caterpillar on steroids. But....THE BOTTOM WASN'T BURNT, AND I PROVED PORKY WRONG! The amount of joy and pride I felt in that moment was through the roof.
I would show you the results, but we ate it all before we even got home, and it wasn't really the prettiest thing in the world...
Thank you for reading my post!
