The Joys of Cinnamon Roll Making! :D

Hello! Welcome back to another post. Today I present to you my cinnamon rolls!

I remember in my last class when I was kneading the dough of my doughnuts, I asked my classmate what we were making next week, she said cinnamon rolls. I can't really explain how the situation went, so I'll try to make it more...story-like.

Me: what are we making next week?

Classmate: Cinnamon rolls.

Me: 😱

Classmate: exciting, right?

Me: 😱

Classmate: uh, what's wrong with your face?

Me: 😱

Classmate: you good?

Me: HELL YES!

One week later I walked into that classroom with so much excitement I was scared I couldn't handle it.

My sister always begged me to make cinnamon rolls, but I always said no because I didn't know how to make them and we just never had the ingredients. She was overjoyed when I told her before I left what I was making.

It was one of the main reasons I was so ecstatic.

It wasn't as fun as all the other classes usually were, because my classes start at 1 P.M. and end at 5 P.M. So that's four hours of learning! Four hours of intense brain juice and elbow grease. 💪😎

I feel like that two out of the four hours, was spent waiting.

Spent waiting for the milk to rise

You have to put the yeast in the milk.

Then wait for the dough to rise

Then wait for it to bake in the oven

THEN wait for it to cool down, so it's easier to handle THEN wait for it to cool down to add the glaze, because it would melt if you added it if it was too hot

Each one of those things took about 25 to 30 minutes so..

20+30+30+15+5 = 100

and 100 minutes converted into hours is 1.6 hours, so yeah I might've exaggerated a bit by one hour, but it still feels like a LOT.

I wouldn't say that in the end it worth it. The bread to cinnamon ratio wasn't very balanced, all that filled my mouth was bread. Though it was good, I would enjoy a bit of flavor... 😅

Hopefully it tastes as good as it looks next time.

I hope you liked this post. Thank you for your time!
