Introduction Post - Decentralization please
Not introducing myself to blockchain, but introducing myself to Blurt, why, because fuk centralization. I always thought centralization was just the social platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok. I had a little experience on Hive and I hate like hell.
I started my journey a couple of weeks ago on Hive, just in case you're looking for my username, it's @madaug on Hive. If you check it you'll realization bullshit. I was engaging, making blogs, free speech and some team come asking me for verification proof of ownership of my own blog which you cannot find anywhere else on the platform except similar opinions.
I was like, what heck let me just send over my Facebook account and I followed their instructions to post a link on my Facebook account and infact if you check my Hive account and the notifications area you'll see how bizarre the entire conversation was.
I usually speak out of respect regardless of how rude the person my talking to is but in this case, the team who's name I won't mention was straight in ridiculous mode.
They said they wanted a well established social media account of mine, and I said if well established means posting selfies of myself for years then please I don't have that. I have my old Facebook account which my friends follow me. I have a tiktok account as well and also YouTube.
What do I do on those accounts? I watch stuff, enjoy myself and carry on with my life. But this team, and I'm pretty sure it was one dude, said if you don't provide a well established account, we will blacklist you.
I didn't want to go in godmode and tell him or her my mind because apparently they've got some high HP that can be used to render useless all your hard work and activities.
So the decentralization that was preached which enticed me to sign up, is not as it is.
I did more research online and asked chatgpt a couple of questions regarding the situation. The solution was Blurt. Something I didn't even know existed. I knew Steemit but wasn't too interested and Hive disappointed so I had no option, at least that's what I thought until I figured out that blurt also exists.
I wanted to keep my name or even a similar name but I decided, nah I'll just try something new.
After observing the blurt platform, I see it more quiet, more ordered and thank God I don't see people forcing people into things otherwise they'll take the reward of their efforts A.K.A down vote you.
I have never been down voted before and I don't want that happening so I decided, let me just drop the ball if they're going to threaten me like that.
I can now express myself well here on blurt.
I'll share a link of my Hive blog here so you can find my account straight from this post. Perhaps you can verify me.
This was my last blog made there, I may not be talking about the same things here though, but however it will go, I hope to do my best for this platform.

By the way, before I left Hive I was thinking of posting videos, is there a video posting system here too?
