JUVENILE DELINQUENCY
Juvenile Delinquency can and may be defined as the involvement of young people usually under the age of 17 in illegal and antisocial behavior. It can also be seen as process of young teens involving themselves in things against the law such as stealing, fighting, vandalism and truancy.
Some common causes of them are: 1. Poor parental training. 2. Peer Pressure. 3. Poverty. 4. Broken homes. 5. Lack of education. 6. Influence of drug and alcohol abuse.
Some effects of them are: 1. Increase in crime rate. 2. Loss of moral values. 3. Destruction of Future. 4. Family Disgrace. 5. Economic Cost. 6. Insecurity.
Solutions to Juvenile Delinquency are: 1. Proper parental care. 2. Moral and Religious Education. 3. Skill Acquisition and Employment. 4. Counseling and Rehabilitation.
Conclusion Juvenile Delinquency is a serious problem in the community and nation at large. With proper love, care, guidance and education, young people can be prevented from falling into it.
